It’s my pleasure to welcome you to the programmes offered by Veer Madho Singh Bhandari Uttarakhand Technical University, Dehradun, popularly known as Uttarakhand Technical University (UTU) in its youngest campus institution namely the Institute of Technology, Baun, Uttarkashi. With this institution starting its functioning from the academic session 2023-24, it is the proud privilege of its present students to be part of the first batch admitted to this institution. It is quite likely that there may be some difficulties in this academic session due to it being the first year of operation of the institution. However, the concerted efforts and commitment of the institute and university to offer the best technical education will help in transforming every student into a successful professional in due course of time. I am delighted to inform you that the multidisciplinary education framework and choice-based credit system set up by the University offers its’ students to recreate the programme as per their interests and passion using the provision of well-laid majors with multiple minors in all emerging areas like Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, IoT, Data Science, Block Chain Technology, Robotics, etc. All endeavours are made to enrich the quality of teaching-learning processes in classrooms and laboratories to make its academic ambience efficacious while enabling the 360-degree development of students to accomplish their dreams and empower students to take up future challenges. You are privileged to be part of the accountable, transparent, and worthwhile teaching-learning-evaluation system strengthening students to pursue their education in a congenial atmosphere.
